LENTEN SEASON 2010
This is the season to reflect on how I have lived my life the last many years. Living in the US since 1992 had brought me a wide variety of life's experiences. Knowing who I am and how I have made out of myself is something I am very proud to talk about. I have brought up five children, four of whom are boys and a girl who happened to be the youngest of all. The three older boys had been married long enough to have three children each and my Marju is at present pregnant with her first baby, a girl. GOD had been with me all my life and HE had been my best friend from the beginning of my life. HE still is up to now. I am very grateful, thankful, and forever loving HIS presence in my life. HE IS AN AWESOME GOD!!
TO MY FAMILY: I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! MAY YOU FEEL THE SAME LOVE AND FAITH THAT I HAVE FOR OUR GOD.HE IS MY SOURCE OF LOVE, POWER, AND STRENGTH.MAY HE CONTINUE TO BLESS, LOVE, AND GUIDE ALL OF US IN OUR QUEST FOR PEACE, LOVE, HEALTH, STRENGTH, AND SUCCESS IN OUR LIVES.

MY HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS
On October 24-26, 2009, my three high school friends with their spouses came to Las Vegas for a reunion:Bern and Bojie Gozon (Georgia, Atlanta), Mila and Rudy Robleza (New Jersey), Adelina and Tony Lopez (San Diego, CA). It was a short reunion, however, we had fun.
It was like the old, old days when we were still at OMHS (Oriental Mindoro High School). The ladies had remained looking young, vivacious, and of course as pretty as ever!! It was such a blast. We stayed at Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, and Luxor for sometime, enjoyed the casino, the food, and music. On Sunday, we were in my house and had a sumptuous lunch, with all the trimmings. We listened to music, danced the crazy moves, just chatted, reminisced all those happy moments through the aid of my scrapbook. I made them watch a video of my TV interview in Duluth, MN ( my 5 minute hall of fame). It was such an awesome moment we were never tired. Towards night time, we went to FREEMONT EXPERIENCE in Old Las Vegas. We had our group picture taken as if we won a million dollars at the BINION CASINO-HOTEL. We walked around those blocks of which the million lights on top of the ceiling were dancing, swaying, and glittering to the tune of great music. Those were fun moments to all of us after almost 40 years of estrangement.
What a nice time!! We thank GOD for all our accomplishments and happiness in life. We believe we are so blessed for the bountiful graces that we have. We appreciate and recognize the power of HIS love.

YEAR 2010
I welcome 2010 with a positive note
Believing every goal and dream may be achieved
Thinking every plan and proposition may be executed
With purpose, and determination, they may be met.
Growing older each year is a fact
Knowing every part of me is slowing down
Every little pain starts to show and flow
Feeling hurt,discomforts run up the scale.
It's a scary thought, that's the truth
Endless fears in mind and heart
Overcoming difficulties is a must
Discover ways and beat the odds.
Facing reality a must for me
Knowing everyday a challenge to see
My faith in GOD the best ever I have
Keeping track, moving forward, being ME
The best I can be.

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2009
TO MY FAMILY & FRIENDS:
MERRY CHRISTMAS & a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The year 2009 slipped away very fast. This had been a great year for me especially this was the year I purchased my new home.YEAH! HALLELUJAH!! I never thought and planned on buying a house in the US!! Why I did it anyways?? It was all about opportunity in Vegas!! As you all know, I teach here and had been paying a sizable amount of money for a two-bedroom apartment close to the school where I had been teaching since 2006. This house which I purchased is at least 2 1/2 miles away. Quite close, huh!! This house is in a gated community, which I felt was a good feature, believing I would be safer, huh! The pictures of this house is somewhere in this blog, so if you want to see it, just go backwards!!
Roger and I are still together, thank God!! I thought he won't be with me this season, since I had been really shooing him away because of alcoholism!! I made up my mind several months ago to break up with him, but after some time talking with him seriously, he considered my long time advice to quit!! QUIT, or lose me!! That was the deal! HE QUIT! He confessed he cannot afford to lose me!!Now, it has been 2 months! He had been sober and had been attending an AA meeting, too!! THANK GOD!!
Yes, dear friends and family!! This is what I have been telling my family, friends, and people I encounter in my life. PRAY AND GOD ANSWERS!! PRAYER IS THE BEST WEAPON IN LIFE! "ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE".
This season is not an exception. Let us continuously ask for God's intervention. Each one needs guidance from our Heavenly Father! Through HIS love and blessings, we can be definite that whatever we ask for and work for would be met. "God helps those who help themselves!!"
Let there be peace and love amongst all of us! May nations come together as one to achieve all people's dreams and ambitions!! MAY GOD BE IN EVERYONE'S HEARTS AS THE REDEEMER OF THE WORLD COME ALIVE THIS CHRISTMAS DAY!!

Four High School Friends Met after 46 Years .....
Four high school friends met after 46 years in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. It was a swell moment for the four ladies and their respective partners. Mila Cleofe (Rudy Robleza), Bernadette Elbo (Bojie Gozon), Adelina Lopez (Tony Lopez) and Minerva Mendez (Roger Douglas) had so much fun reminiscing almost everything that had transpired during their high school years. The reunion was all about fun, laughter, living life, and growing old.
